In 2023, the value of transactions through Internet banking in Azerbaijan increased by 12% compared to 2022, while the value of transactions through mobile banking doubled.

"Report" informs that this was announced by Farid Osmanov, the Executive Director of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), during the "Visa Cashless Forum 2024 - Digital Azerbaijan" event held in Baku.

"The number of paper payment documents presented in paper format for transactions on current accounts has decreased significantly. Electronic payments account for 80% of total payments. Internet and mobile banking services have developed significantly," he noted.
