A 25 million dollar SABAH.fund venture fund was established in Azerbaijan

SABAH.HUB Innovation Center is proud to announce the establishment of "SABAH.fund", a venture capital fund of 25 million dollars.

SABAH.HUB İnnovation Center proudly announces the establishment of "SABAH.fund," a venture capital fund with a capital of $25 million. This fund marks a significant milestone as it becomes the largest venture capital fund in Azerbaijan, having secured $11 million at the first close. It also stands as the first venture capital fund to encompass the Central Asia, Middle East, and North Africa (MENA) regions.

The key partners behind "SABAH.fund" are Rahim Bayramli and Abbas Kazmi, with prominent investors including "Moonwake Investment," SOCAR, "Integrity Group," the Azerbaijan Investment Company, among others. "SABAH.fund" is positioned as a cross-border venture capital fund and is designed to support SABAH.HUB Innovation Center's "Techplomacy" initiative. The fund aims to propel technological advancements by supporting innovative entrepreneurs in key and rapidly developing sectors within the region.

The investment strategy of "SABAH.fund" focuses on primary sectors such as FinTech, CleanTech, and EdTech, while secondary sectors include digital health, AgriTech, PropTech, and LogisticsTech. The fund will invest in the most promising and innovative technology startups in the region at the pre-seed and seed stages. The management of the fund is led by Rahim Bayramli, the Executive Director of SABAH.HUB Innovation Center, and Abbas Kazmi, an esteemed entrepreneur and venture capital investor. Rahim Bayramli, an alumnus of the London School of Economics (LSE) and a former strategic consultant at McKinsey, is also a co-founder of successful projects such as "Push30" and "LANDAU School." Abbas Kazmi, recognized by prestigious awards like "Forbes 30 Under 30" and "Maserati 100," is an Oxford University graduate and has served as an Entrepreneurship Expert at the Saïd Business School.

Rahim Bayramli shared his vision for the future of the fund, stating, "SABAH.fund is committed to supporting companies with global ambitions. Our goal is to build innovation bridges in technology and education across the Caucasus, Central Asia, and the MENA region." Abbas Kazmi added, "SABAH.fund aims to deliver both high financial returns for investors and to drive significant historical changes."

Over its three years of operation, SABAH.HUB Innovation Center has supported the development of hundreds of startups and educated thousands of individuals about the innovation ecosystem. The main mission of SABAH.HUB is to grow the startup ecosystem through the development of venture capital and human capital. The launch of "SABAH.fund" demonstrates their readiness to fully support innovative solutions and further strengthen the region's innovation landscape.
