The European Investment Bank is offering 20 million euros for the "internet project" that will connect Georgia-Azerbaijan-Asia via the Black Sea!

Thus, the European Union is in the process of technically and economically justifying the laying of a 45 million euro internet cable under the Black Sea to Georgia in order to reduce its internet dependence on Russia.

The European Investment Bank is offering 20 million euros for the Black Sea internet cable project, which will connect the EU countries to Georgia and from there to Azerbaijan. At the same time, the European Union wants to connect Europe and Asia by building a new internet cable to eliminate internet dependency in the region.

An internet cable will be laid under the Caspian Sea to improve communications. The project is called the Digital Silk Road. Vodafone is currently investigating possible ways of laying underwater internet cables under the Black Sea.
